The Rotary Club of Ambernath North (RCAN) is officially registered under District 3142 of Rotary International and was chartered on May 25, 2016. In a short period, the club gained significant recognition for its contributions to environmental conservation and community-focused initiatives.
The club's charter president, Rtn Gunvant Patil, a retired engineer, served from 2016 to 2017. Under his leadership, RCAN grew substantially, welcoming 26 new members.
As the club celebrates its tenth anniversary, it currently has 36 members. Over the years, several distinguished individuals have served as past presidents, including Rtn Avdhut Mohite, Rtn Rajendra Patil, Rtn Roma Bagtani, Rtn Narsimha Mehtre, Rtn Prakash Kothari, Rtn Rajkumar Tolani, Rtn Rajesh Kadam, and Rtn Ajay Tale.
Rotary Club of Ambarnath North organized an interactive learning seminar titled “Train Your Memory” for secondary school students at TVM School, Ambarnath West. The session was conducted by Rtn Chandrahar Dixit, a member of Rotary Club of Ambarnath West. Through practical activities, engaging techniques, and interactive discussions, he guided students on improving memory, concentration, and learning abilities. The students enthusiastically participated and thoroughly enjoyed the session. On behalf of Rotary Club of Ambarnath North, we sincerely thank Rtn Chandrahar Dixit and the TVM School Management for providing this valuable learning opportunity to the students. Members of RC Ambarnath North who attended the seminar were: Rtn Rajesh Bhavsar, Rtn Anand Raghavan, Rtn Prakash Rao, Rtn Narasimha Mehetre, Rtn Chayya Anand, Rtn Raj Tolani, and Rtn Pralhad Jadhav. Empowering young minds through better memory, concentration, and learning skills.
Activity 3 – Eye Check-up and Cataract Corrective Surgery Camp The Rotary Club of Ambarnath North, in association with Shri Vikas Someshwar, Nagarsevak, and Shiv Sena Shakha, Wandrapada, Ambarnath West, organized an Eye Check-up and Cataract Corrective Surgery Camp on 11 July 2026 at Kaikadi Samaj Mandir, Shastri Nagar, Ambarnath West. The camp was conducted with the support of Bhaktivedanta Hospital, Mira Road, under the Tata Capital CSR Initiative. A total of 106 patients underwent eye examinations during the camp. Of these, eight patients were diagnosed with cataracts and selected for corrective surgery. All eight surgeries were subsequently completed successfully. The initiative provided timely eye-care services to the local community and helped restore better vision and improve the quality of life of the beneficiaries.
Rotary Club of Ambarnath North & Rotary Club of Ambarnath West It takes a big heart to collaborate with a neighbouring club on the very first day of the Rotary Calendar Year. We sincerely thank Rtn Mayur Bhoir President & team of Rotary Club of Ambarnath West for joining hands with Rotary Club of Ambarnath North for the Grocery Donation initiative at Vishranthi Old Age Home, Ulhasnagar. The old age home has 25 elderly residents, and this initiative will support their daily food requirements.
